Introduction. Since the beginning of full-scale war against Ukraine due to blocking sea ports, massive destruction transport infrastructure, railway has become key mode transport, which carries out most export-import supplies. The importance finding potential ways develop country's determines relevance study. purpose paper is identify existing problems international transportation by rail in and provide certain recommendations for their solution order increase country. Results. However, with war, suffered a significant reduction number problems. First, Ukrainian wagons cannot travel on European roads difference track width, shippers need replace wheeled carts coupling devices wagons. Secondly, Ukrzaliznytsia can approximately 3.5 thousand export every day, but unpreparedness side, accumulated daily at borders. Thirdly, systematically losing its carrying capacity rapidly degrading, poses real threat national economy, social stability.
